This site is searchable by available topics, as well as individual lesson plans.
The Ontario Road Safety resource is a revolutionary educational tool for the province's teachers, public health and community leaders dedicated to supporting the health and well being of Ontario's children and youth.
"The Road Safety Resource is an important tool in the prevention of injury and death among children and young people
on our roads. reaching them early in life, students are learning to take responsibility for their own personal safety
while building a solid foundation of road safety skills they can use into adulthood."
Kathleen Wynne, Transportation Minister
"The resource makes connections in each lesson to the health and physical education curriculum. The lessons are also linked to subjects across the curriculum to allow for
cross-curricular integration of learning. Using a healthy schools approach, websites and relevant provincial and local organization contact information is provided in order to
encourage implementation of the lesson plans within a larger healthy school and community context. Each lesson includes a variety of instructional strategies, encouraging
differentiated instruction in order to meet the needs of all learners."
