This was the most relevant, important and interesting learning of the year. My 2 brothers, father and 3 of my grandparents (deceased) all have/had diabetes. I never taught it before, I didn’t know how. You taught me. My class was mesmerized. Each student did all 4 of the educational options. It was so informative, interesting. I am continuing to teach it. The songs are in my head constantly.
I have always been in fear of diabetes. In fact, I even avoided the word seeing how much grief, death and complications my family has suffered. But you changed all of that. Now, I feel the power. Like: I can help these kids prevent this. I can help these kids make healthy choices.
