Edmonton school awarded unique concert – Metro Edmonton

A local school was one of 30 across Canada to be awarded a unique concert performance to learn more about diabetes prevention.

Students jump at opportunity to raise diabetes awareness - Whitby this Week

Students at Royal Canadian Montessori School have reached a high point in their efforts to raise public awareness about diabetes.

Over a period of several weeks, seven children from grades 2-5 in the Whitby school's upper elementary classes took part in a program called Everyone Jump, which was launched by the Ontario Physical and Health Education Association. Kids do the diabetes dance - Metro Calgary

Two local elementary schools were jumping in celebration yesterday after winning a contest to bring a nationwide touring concert to their schools.  The schools submitted student-created posters on diabetes in a national competition held this school year.  Everyone Jump — Kids Changing Diabetes is a fun and educational way to teach children about Type 2 diabetes, a Pineridge Community School teacher told Metro.

Acreman students get jump on learning - The Compass

Students at Acreman Elementary in Green's Harbour, Trinity Bay were literally jumping with excitement last week. Their enthusiasm came from learning all about how to prevent Type 2 Diabetes during an Everyone Jump Celebration Concert held in the gymnasium of their school. Local schools win Jump contest - The North York Mirror

North York rules!  Grade 5 classes from Cassandra Public School and Gateway Public School are winners in a national contest to show they know the importance of physical activity and healthy eating in preventing type 2 diabetes.
