Everybody jump, jump - Langley Times
Alex Hope Elementary School students were jumping for joy, literally, after winning a national education challenge on how to prevent Type 2 diabetes. Alex Hope took top prize in the country, beating out 400 classes and 9,600 students across Canada and was rewarded with and “Everyone Jump Celebration Concert” for the entire school, featuring live music that got the kids on their feet, dancing, jumping and singing. St. Joseph School and W. H. Morden schools picked up the top prize in a national education challenge and were both rewarded with an Everyone Jump Celebration Concert for the entire school. Kids do the diabetes dance - Metro Calgary
Two local elementary schools were jumping in celebration yesterday after winning a contest to bring a nationwide touring concert to their schools. The schools submitted student-created posters on diabetes in a national competition held this school year. Reason to Celebrate at St. Patrick - Burlington Post
St. Patrick School won a prize in a national education challenge and the special achievement was marked by a celebration concert last Friday. The school participated in Everyone Jump ... Kids Changing Diabetes -- a free Grade 5 program that teaches kids the importance of regular physical activity and healthy eating in preventing Type 2 diabetes. Acreman students get jump on learning - The Compass
Students at Acreman Elementary in Green's Harbour, Trinity Bay were literally jumping with excitement last week. Their enthusiasm came from learning all about how to prevent Type 2 Diabetes during an Everyone Jump Celebration Concert held in the gymnasium of their school. The concert was part of a contest sponsored by Ophea (Ontario Physical and Health Education Association) and Novo Nordisk Canada Inc. which challenges Grade 5 students from British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador to demonstrate what they've learned about preventing Type 2 diabetes through regular physical activity and healthy eating. Local schools win Jump contest - The North York Mirror
North York rules! Grade 5 classes from Cassandra Public School and Gateway Public School are winners in a national contest to show they know the importance of physical activity and healthy eating in preventing type 2 diabetes.
The North York students were among the 30 classrooms from across Canada chosen from 400 others and will be part of the Everyone Jump Celebration Concert series, which is a partnership between the Ontario Physical and Health Education Association and Novo Nordisk Canada Inc.
